Beaches of Goa
Previously a Portugeuse territory and now part of India, Goa shows much
of its earalier heritage. See the city of Vasco De Gama and the
historic city of Margao. Hang out on the sandy beaches and soak
up some sun.
Kerala Backwaters
Travel to Southern India. Here you will find Kerala state with
its brackish lagoons. See the crabs, frogs and mudskippers.
Stay in a house boat on Kumarakom lake. There is also a
resort at Kumarakom
Elephanta Caves, Mumbai
On Elephanta Island in Mumbai Harbor a visitor can see the ornate
basalt carvings of gods and elephants. See the cave pillars and
wander around the couryard connecting the east-end cave.
Kaziranga National Park, Assam
Here live two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceroses.
They wander around the grasslands of the national park.
Located in Assam state, the movement for conservation was credit
to Baroness Curzon of Kedelston.
